Our book and application launched in Romanian!

Greetings from Romania! Our CEO Ellimaija Ahonen and Pedagogical Director Johanna Järvinen-Taubert have spent last three days in the beautiful city of Sibiu which totally stole our hearts!

In 2021, we shared good news with our network: we had written a book called Finnish Education in Practice: What, Why and How.
Yesterday, it was time to celebrate again: Our book was launched in Romanian language! During the launching event Johanna shared insights to the book and which questions it gives answers to. We heard opening remarks from the Ambassador of Finland to Romania, Her Excellency Mrs. Leena Liukkonen. Honorary Consul of Finland, Director of Finnish Teacher Training Centre Elena Lotrean led a panel discussion about happiness in education, change and other important topics.
Thank you everyone who took part in the launching event at ERI Sibiu school. This would not have been possible without talented and hard working people in Romania. Thank you Prof. Dr Ray F. IUNIUS for the translation, forewords and contribution. Thank you for your innovative mind and trusting us from the beginning, your support is highly appreciated! Thank you Curtea Veche Publishing for publishing this book. Hats off for super ladies Nicoleta Wilms and Dana Pitariu – we need more people like you who make things happen! Thank you for your trust, collaboration and friendship. Sometimes you just know that you have been lucky. 💚
During these 3 days we also had a chance to meet local students and visit their classes. At Universitatea “Lucian Blaga” Sibiu we trained teacher students about lesson planning practices the Finnish way – thank Elena-Lucia Mara and looking forward to the next steps! Interaction and workshop with ERI school teachers gave us confidence that hopefully LessonApp can be a useful tool to increase the quality of education and to ease the workload of teachers in Romania.
The whole trip was made possible by dedicated local people who share the same passion for quality education and empowering teachers. Thank you authors for writing the original book!
